The last time my sister and I lived together full time I was 18 and she was 11. Most of the years since then she lived 800 miles away. We have tried hard to stay in touch and involved with one another's lives, but it's hard when we only see each other once or twice a year. This was a great weekend to catch up. It was just us and our sweet hearts, talking, laughing, hiking, eating, sharing a favorite film - just living together. We capped off the weekend with a round of s'more, a sweet treat her husband had never enjoyed before. It's always tough to say good by again, but after all this time, we know that the genes that tie us together are enough to keep us together. A relationship to treasure and cultivate.
