Bar Harbor, Maine was our stop today...what a beautiful town! And it was a gorgeous day to see the stunning views from Acadia National Park! Maine has never been a crowded place, and Bar Harbor has never been a big town. There are fewer than 5,000 year-round residents. Bar Harbor is the gateway to Acadia National Park. We met our National Park Service tour guide across from Testa's Restaurant up the hill from the tender dock in the harbor. We made our first stop at Thunder Hole, stopped again for a sample of the famous popovers at the Jordan Pond House, and our final destination was atop of Cadillac Mountain where the awesome beauty was nothing short of amazing!!! We all decided that if we ever wanted to move to New England, Bar Harbor was the place we'd settle.
