Mary told me about this park - I can hear and maybe see the fireworks of Disneyworld from here each night. I am here for only a couple of nights, though. I will be spending a week at an RV resort in a different part of Clermont, further away from Disneyworld.
The campground is between Dixie Lake and Hammond Lake! I drove to the end of the road of the park which has a big parking lot for a picnic area and the map shows that here is where Lake Louisa is. I went for a walk on the Nature Trail but, even taking a side trail to "Cheryl's Lookout" didn't let me see the lake. The bench there looks at a dried up cypress swamp! How strange! It was getting dark, so I'll have to go back to see if the picnic area is near the lake. I only saw one picnic table, but there must be many more to justify such a big parking lot.
I think I will just stay in the park tomorrow and lay low - I've been driving too much lately and the area here seems to be congested.
