I stopped at the Good Feet Store today before driving to the base. I have heard a lot of good things about them and wanted to check them out for myself. I’m not really having foot issues at the present time but I’m averaging over 6 miles a day walking and have plans to progressively increase that distance during the next few months so I thought that investing in my feet might be a good thing and they ain’t cheap. The price for a set of 3 inserts is just over 500 bucks. It is however a lifetime warranty. Anyhoo, I am considering it and may go back tomorrow to make the purchase.
After doing some extensive online research tonight, I’ve decided to pass on the Good Feet inserts, at least for now. They are way too expensive and have a lousy return policy. I’ll continue doing research and probably try some much cheaper off-the-shelf type from one of the WalStores (WalGreens or WalMart) for starters.
26 February - Spent the day getting things in order for my trip to Washington State, including new tires for my toad. I decided to go with Les Schwab this time due to some favorable recommendations from my homies and limited, but positive, previous experience. As a bonus, I received a nice package of free beef. They have been giving away free beef with tire purchases during the month of February for years and years now. I had forgotten about the promotion so it was a nice surprise. They also provide free popcorn so I was in heaven.
