It's hard to imagine anything surpassing 24/7 pampering on a cruise ship; but, there's also very little that beats sleeping in your own bed. We slept like logs. Joe was up early and went to bail Foxy out of the kennel. She was one happy camper. I still have the remnants of a cold and sore throat so I stayed home. She leaped on the bed as soon as she saw me......man's best friend.....grateful for her parole.
Now, it was time to do laundry and put away the dressy clothes. We have little opportunity in this lifestyle to wear formal clothes but we'll find a place to stash them until the next cruise.
While our cruise had setbacks, we were very lucky and had a safe voyage. Contact with our friends in Oklahoma made us realize how lucky we were to be off in warm climate. Many of our friends back home were without power for days after a severe ice storm, and some areas with fallen trees looked like a tornado passed through. It's wintertime, I guess but we're glad to be in the warm, balmy south.
