the Usual Suspects MR

We arrived in Margaret River at 0940 after a long drive of around 96km from Bunbury. Karen was spot on bought us to the gate of the Big Valley Campsite its actually 12 km out of "town" and very peacefull. This place gets rave reviews and to those it is rightfully entitled. It’s really wonderful here spacious sites and a very casual ambience coupled with the proximity to Margaret River make this place well worth visiting. I had a rummage through the firewood heap and selected a couple of bits of Jarrah to take home for “special” projects….

After lunch we drove into Margaret River to do a spot of shopping and had afternoon tea at Kanarva Koffee. There is a Gourmet Cookie shop next door where we selected our treats to have with our Koffee. Yum!

Gracie is confused she has only met one sheep before and it was on a leash being walked in a country town. Here there are flocks of four legged woolly things that have weird barks just over the fence and the free range chooks have her intrigued, they know she can’t get to them through the fence so tend to tease her mercilessly. We got some “real” ( with bits of dirt and feathers and debris on the shell) eggs from our host Kevin and for dinner I made a rustic farm omelette with bacon, mushrooms, onions and cheese filling, must have been nice there is none left……

Augusta and Cape Leeuwin tomorrow for a day out…
