Bridge across Moccasin Creek

Moccasin Creek

Bela liked Papa's hat!

We left Chattanooga and finally ended up in Georgia! It was a beautiful drive through the mountains. Part of the drive took us alongside the Ocoee River. This is a popular destination for white water rafting and kayaking. We saw lots of rafts going over the rapids and passed by teh sie of the 1996 Olympic white water events.

We stayed at Moccasin Creek State Park on Lake Burton near Clayton, Georgia. It is a popular fishing destination. Moccasin Creek is designated for fishing only by people 65 and older or 11 and younger.

Adam, Hannah and Bela arrived shortly after we got set up. They were camping in Hannah's mom's vintage trailer. We were able to have 2 sites next to each other. It was great!
