The Aliens are coming.

Having obviously caught the trekking bug in Torres del Paine, Pieter and I headed straight back into Argentina and to El Chalten to do some day treks in the Fitz Roy range. We arrived at Chalten at 10:30pm with no accommodation booked and spend an hour or so wandering in the dark in gale force winds and rain trying to find a room, in the end the dollars came out and we took probably the most expensive room in town just to out of the rain.

Again it was worth it as the trekking in the area was as usual spectacular. The first days walk was up to a place called Lago Los Tres after the three Frenchmen that died there, it was hard but not that hard, maybe they died on Fitz Roy itself. We had great views of Fitz Roy but mainly when we got back to town!

The second walk was to see Cerro Torre, it was a good walk but the mountain got all shy and refused to come out.
