This morning I was up at 6:00 so I could get to the RV repair shop on time. It is off I-26 in Arden, NC, which is southeast of Asheville. I had thought that the commuter traffic would be heavier than it was, so I was allowing extra time for that. Happily, I didn't need a brake job. The tech told me that there was some wear and that I should have them checked the next time I go for regular maintenance. I had both vehicles' oil and filters changed and all the tires checked. I was back on the road again by 10:30.
I continued on I-26 to Charleston, South Carolina and on to Hollywood where I will spend the next two nights at the Lake Aire RV Park. It is surrounded by trees and has a small lake with islands in it -- one with a pavilion and one with tent camping areas. I had my propane tank topped off before going to my campsite.
Once settled, I called Adventure Sightseeing to make reservations for tomorrow on their combination bus tour of historic Charleston and boat tour to Fort Sumter. A tour leaves every 30 minutes until 12:30. I'm planning to take the one at 10:00.
