|It is with great sadness that I tell you that Larry passed on August 28, 2017. As you know he had been fighting a two year battle with cancer. This dreaded disease finally became too much for his human body to handle. Just know that Larry was at great peace, knowing that he would soon be walking with Jesus in his heavenly home with a new glorified body.
We were fortunate enough to have time for him to visit many of his family & friends, even making a one week trip to his beloved South Dakota in July. It's only been a week and I can't even begin to tell you how much he is missed, not only by me but by so many others. The outpouring of love & support has truly been amazing.
You might have noticed that my posts have been few & far between. We've been dealing with family health issues for many months, losing Mom to cancer on January 10th (Larry's birthday). I'd let this blog lose it's 'Best of the Best' status through our lack of posting & traveling. But one of Larry's final requests was that I get back on the road when things settle down & so that is my current plan. He said he will be right there in the co-pilot seat every inch of the way. I've been thinking of downsizing to a more manageable sized rig but after shopping around a bit I am finding that the quality is just not the same as our Amish built Newmar so I believe I'll just be purchasing a 'new to me' new truck. Our current Ford has 221,000 miles on it so it is time. We'd been looking the last month or so together so I know that's what Larry wanted.
I thank you all for following our 11 year journey & hope you enjoyed riding along & sharing in the sights as much as we enjoyed sharing them with you. If the Lord is willing I'll soon be sharing again. God Bless & have a wonderful day!
