We made it through another year and what a year it was. You guys have shared much of it with us. Last year on this day Sue and I were in Kentucky and celebrated our anniversary at Tumbleweeds a local spot in Shepherdsville before heading for California. Tonight I’m having a doctored-up Healthy Choice frozen dinner and a salad. No pictures. This is the first anniversary in a long time Sue and I haven’t spent together. Hopefully it will be a long time before it happens again.

Not much to write about today as most of the way was on I81 and it rained most of the time. I have a few pictures of things seen on the highway. One is Skeeter’s World Famous Hot Dogs in Wytheville, VA. They’ve been serving hot dogs there since 1925 and have served over 9 million according to the sign. A note of historic interest is that Woodrow Wilson’s wife was born in the apartment over Skeeter’s. The other point of interest was the giant pencil in front of an office supply store on Main St.

We’re staying at the Staunton/Walnut Hills KOA west of Charlottesville, VA. I’ll be heading east on I70 tomorrow and am planning on meeting Kyle and Annie for lunch when I pass Baltimore. If things go well, we should be home tomorrow around dinner (supper). Look for my summary of this trek on Saturday.
