Apparently it’s been the warmest winter in Japan, but for us it is still pretty cold. Though we feel spring is coming around and cherry blossoms have just started to show off its bright pink colour.

Lexi’s been enjoying her life in Tokyo, she goes to Japanese lessons twice a week, she’s got a few jobs in an English pub and café, and also teaching English privately at home, now we have 12 students!!

We also join activities planned by city council for international residents. Lexi did a Kimono (Japanese traditional wear) model at Meguro International Festival. She was very beautiful in Kimono! It took more than 45mins and two assistants to wear Kimono, it was such a hard work.

We also joined UNESCO tour to Kamakura the other week, Kamakura is a traditional town near Tokyo with many historically important temples and shrines. Unfortunately it rained all day, but we enjoyed looking around beautiful old town.

We have a couple of happy news from Japan. my sister just had her second baby!! We are very lucky to be here in Tokyo to see a cute baby girl “Ako”. Hiro was in Australia when his sister had the first boy “Yugo”, so he is quite happy to be around them this time.

And Hiro’s cousin just got married and invited us for their wedding. We both enjoyed to experience a wedding in Japan.

We’ve been eating great Japanese food all the time, visited a quite few restaurants already, but Hiro gained 10kg!! (as you can see in photos). Not that he cares much though…
