Today right after lunch we had a little Memorial Day party hosted by the volunteers. There were the usual burgers and hotdogs with all the trimmings, followed by homemade desserts -- delivered to our tables via a dessert cart. Volunteer Frank Lacorte was the emcee; he conducted a trivia quiz and a drawing for door prizes. Ashley Moree, one of our cooks, sang several patriotic songs a capella.
