George Washington's Profile

We got “surprise” visitors today. Doug and Linda drove from Steamboat Springs, CO to spend the day with us in Hill City. They just happened to be in the area on their way to North Dakota so Doug could add ND to his list of states visited and complete all 50 states. We had a great day riding the 1880 Train 20 miles from Hill City to Keystone. It’s a restored passenger train from the late 1800’s that runs on the old Black Hills Central RR. The return trip was by trolley and we got to see Mount Rushmore again. While we were “shopping”, we ran into another couple from Newark. It’s amazing that we’ve driven over 2,000 miles from home and run into somebody from tiny Delaware.
