I chose this place because it is central to many towns and sites I want to see around here, and it is a member of Passport America. It is still expensive (I can't believe nonmembers would stay here and pay $48 a night!) and I don't think I get what I am paying for. Yes, I have full hookups, but not one TV station comes in - the campground area is in a bowl of land. I might have to invest in an antenna booster - not ready for satellite or dish hassles yet. It is circular, where one RV faces the circle and the next faces out. The spaces are also not very wide and I am taking up half of the next site. I face out and see the swimming pool! Everyone else sees my lion on the back of the RV. Funny that I named her Miss Daisy but a male lion looks out on followers - hadn't thought about that before!
I will be here for the next 10 days and I hope the rain stops for some of them so I can see the Lake, more dunes, and many parks, vineyards, lakes, and lighthouses, of course! In the meantime, I am catching up on hundreds of emails, printing out letterboxing clues, doing my longstitch craft, keeping house, and maybe making myself a duct tape wallet! I made one for my sister and it came out pretty good, if I must say so myself - but my sister says so, too. And she's the artist! That cloth type camouflage tape is hard to find though! And I want a tri-fold, not a typical wallet.
This entry is a placeholder so that the places I visit are listed as side trips from here, as it should be!
