This morning I left Austin around 10:30, heading for Seguin to meet up with my Cen-Tex LoW camping buddies at River Shade RV Park. I fed Daisy before leaving Austin ($2.669 per gallon). I stopped in Seguin to get a few groceries.
We are trying something new this month. We all brought something to contribute to a silent auction as a fundraiser for our general fund. The winning bids will be announced Saturday. Tonight we had a potluck dinner, with plenty of good food as usual. After dinner we played table games.
This morning Val and I went walking along the river and around the RV park. The weather was ideal. I wish it could stay like this all the time!
Tonight we all had dinner at the Casa Sol Mexican Restaurant in Seguin. The food and service were good. After dinner we played table games. It had been several months since I had had my Mexican Train ‘fix’ so I enjoyed playing.
Today some of us just hung around the RV park all day. Before dinner tonight we settled up on the silent auction. I had bid on only three items and won two of them: Two packages of greeting cards and a purple silk pantsuit. We made almost $200 for our club fund. We were very pleased with the outcome. We plan to do it regularly, at least for the next few months (except for our Christmas campout).
Nearly everyone left this morning. I had extended my stay a couple of days and talked Ann into staying longer, too, to go sightseeing in Seguin with me.
