Spanish moss hanging from trees along Prairie Creek

Mimosa tree on the creek bank

We crossed the Mississippi River into Mississippi where we started to see mimosas along the side of the interstate. We spent the night at a Corps of Engineer park near Benton, Alabama, about forty miles west of Montgomery. It was right on the Alabama River and Prairie Creek. The spanish moss hanging from the trees made me really homesick for home. The park was very nice with large, concrete pads for the RV. We will be looking out for Corps of Engineer parks from now on.
