Larry & Lee Ann's Journey travel blog

Well, at least the sun is trying to break out...

The street is warm enough to melt things off, and the city...

Cousin Charie, visiting from Wyoming...

Uncle Ed & niece Tiffany, visiting with Larry...

Going out to lunch, Chinese food, yummy....

My camera got knocked off focus, bummer, sorry Mom & Uncle Ed,...

Charie & I stopped by to check out the train depot on...

And I had to take this shot the next morning!

Larry's quilt/throw, thanks Lynne, it's awesome!

And this one's mine, love it!

The snow & cold continue to hang on around here. It's been in the low teens every night and today it only got into the high 30's, brrrrrrr.....I'm ready for some warmer weather. Our truck does not like these temps one bit, even with the block heater. So we do most of our errands in Mom's car. Hopefully the really hard, heavy snows will hold off for a couple of more weeks until we can all head south.

Mom, Lori & I went out for lunch today. And then to do a bit of much needed grocery/incidental shopping. The sun was out & there wasn't much wind so it seemed like a good day to take care of a few things. Mom tired pretty quickly so we brought her home for a short nap before starting dinner. All in all, she is doing fairly well. Our Ohio friends sent Mom a package with home-canned goodies, so if you are reading this Jack & Barb, thank you so much! She really appreciated your thoughtfulness & you'll be hearing from her soon. And, just wanted you to know that we have all been enjoying the many goodies in the basket you sent as well. We are so blessed to have such wonderful folks in our lives.

And speaking of packages, Larry & I received one a few days ago from our Arizona friends Gary & Lynne as well. Larry loved the shirts you guys and our quilts are awesome! We are certainly enjoying them while watching TV in the evenings. Loved the material you chose for each of us Lynne! And the crystal nail files were perfect too! Ladies, if you aren't familiar with crystal nail files you really should check them out. They need to be the real deal though, not the plastic knock-offs. I love them and think you will too...

Well that's it for now. Thanks for checking inand thank you all for your many messages, calls & e-mails. We appreciate hearing from each & every one of you. Our 5th year is up with Trip Journal on November 16th, just 3 days from now. I am undecided as to whetherI should renew it for a 6th year. I'm afraid our life is a bit mundane right now & will be so for the next few months & I certainly don't want to bore you all to death. So, we'll see. I guess if you check back on the 17th & we're still here you'll know our final decision, LOL!!!! Have a great night......
