This morning I got up early because I had a long drive ahead of me. Before leaving town, though, I stopped by Bill Bass Tire and Service to get a new starter battery installed. I also had them check my tires; the pressure in them was fine. They got to me as soon as I arrived – a good start to my day.
On this return trip I made several stops, including one to feed Daisy and one to get propane. For lunch I just had some mixed nuts and a Coke. I wanted to get home before the main evening rush in Austin. I was back at Pecan Grove by 4:30. I didn’t stop in Austin for fuel, as I normally do. I’ll fill up on my way to the Cen-Tex campout next week.
This has been a good little vacation.
