Lots of Seals--Hey What Are You Guys Looking At?

Bird Island Light as We Head Home

We had to rest a little and get a few things done around the area--get diesel at about $4.70/gallon! That afternoon we took a Puffin Boat trip to Bird Islands. We left about 5:15PM and fortunately the boat only had about 18 people--it holds 38. The trip was really great. About 20 minutes after leaving the dock we got some great photos of a bald eagle getting a fish thrown out by our boat captain. I think the eagle missed but I got some great photos. Later in the cruise, we did a few Atlantic puffins but most had already departed for their year round season at sea. We did see alot of seals and many more bald eagles on the Bird Islands. It was a great trip and a wonderful end to the day.
