As a birthday present for Robert and an early birthday present for Amanda, we got them tickets to the Dallas Stars game and some gift cards for Movie Tavern, but the best part (for them) was that we took the kids for the whole weekend.
So, Friday morning after Thanksgiving, we loaded them up and took them to their favorite breakfast place - Krispy Kreme

Of course, I don't mind getting to eat Krispy Kremes at all as long as it's only once every six months Jeff's family was gathering over at his brother Andy's place, so we took the kids over and they had a good time. Bristol and Abby are quite the softball players and Jean-Luc was watching the process of playing catch with interest. Bristol gave him a lesson.

Everyone pitched in with getting Andy's Christmas lights up outside.

Andy has tons of oak trees in his front and back yards and had raked some of the leaves they are losing into a big pile. What a temptation!

We went back to the Airstream where they had a good time watching "Cars." The next morning they played in our bed

On Sunday morning, we got out our little tiny tree and the little tiny decorations so we can have a Christmas tree which will fit in the Airstream and Madeleine and Jean-Luc helped to decorate it.

After that, we all went to the movie theatre and watched "Happy Feet" which Madeleine loved, but Jean-Luc went to sleep at the half-time. Then a very tired, but happy, set of Grandparents returned them to their parents.
