Sunset in Lucca

Well, Anna left for Paris this morning (we're hoping she returns home in one piece), and Marie had class all day today, so Sarah and I slept in and woke up to the most glorious sunny day we have had in weeks. We decided that we couldn't waste any more of it than we already had indoors, so we hopped on a train and headed for Lucca, which we heard was beatiful. We arrived to a gorgeous sight- blue skies, green grass, lots of trees, and more of the autumn colors and smells we have been craving. We walked around and took in the nature for hours, had lunch, and watched the sunset before returning home. We didn't actually see much of the city, only because we couldn't tear ourselves away from the greenery. We walked along the ancient wall surrounding the city, which is still intact, and abound with small parks and trees and grass. We had a blast- it was just the quiet, beautiful day we had been hoping for.

Photos to come later...
