Today we took a nice drive...

We arrived at the intersection of Farm Road 85 & Farm Road...

To our right was this pretty view...

We made a right turn & I liked this view as well...

Continuing on to our destination...cool road!

Fenton Store & Glass Studio, they have lovely things here!!!

Larry & Onyx visited this park daily...

He was interested in this tree & it's nuts, no one seemed...

A closer look, maybe you can tell us?

The local cemetery...

Caddie, pretty, but unusual name, passed in 1878, age 37 years, 6...

A bit of the fall colors, pretty...

Before I flew out of Springfield we took a short drive to the Fenton Art Glass Store & Glass Studio. I was hoping to see some action in the studio but alas, no one was there working today. Ah well, maybe next time. Several years ago, when we still lived in our 'stick house' I collected a few pieces of Fenton glass. I still have a beautiful turquoise pitcher I purchased in 1995 in storage and I just can't seem to part with it. It is signed by Bill Fenton, now deceased and means alot to me. It was a beautiful drive on narrow, rolling roads, with little to no traffic. We finally made our way back to Springfield so that I could purchase a suitcase for my flight the next day.

While I was gone, Larry entertained himself & Onyx at a nearby park as well as the local cemetery. He took a couple of pics to share with me, and you too of course! It was nice to see a bit of the fall colors. And we have always enjoyed viewing interesting old headstones. There were several at this cemetery.

And finally, I was saddened to learn of the passing of my former employer and dear friend John Ligouri on Wednesday, October 14th. John & his wife Bonnie owned and operated Ligouri's Casino for over 20 years. I worked at and ran his poker room for several years before he sold it & retired in the late 90's. They bought a home & retired to Mesquite, Nevada, where John spent his last years playing golf and poker. John will be sorely missed, both by his family & his many friends. Including me...
