This morning we all traveled to Gonzales to the Lake Wood State Park. Right after lunch we visited the Gonzales Pioneer Village Living History Center. It is a collection of 1800s houses and buildings from Gonzales County. Each structure was donated to the village and has been moved and restored. Special events are staffed by costumed volunteers who provide information about the buildings and demonstrate skills and crafts necessary to pioneer life.
After we left the Village we had an early dinner before returning to Lake Wood. We sat under the trees and talked for a while. We didn't stay very long, though, because it was a bit too chilly.
