|Well, after indulging in mass amounts of food I decided to burn it off by hiking about 4 solid hours the day after to a beautiful new hut built on the perfect setting. Arrived just before dark and was greeted by 3 American students on the same kind of mission I'm on... go where the road takes you. They parked up at the other end of the track so the next day all four of us went out that way and they dropped me off at my car. Great stuff. The weather throughout Fiordland was amazing aside from one day of rain. Very odd for 1 weeks worth. It rains 2 of three days on average out there. This hike was the perfect end to this National Park. I got two days kayaking, 2 days on a cruiseship, and 2 days hiking. Next is Stewart Island. Wonder what's around the corner? Tune in!
