Our trip from Ft. Stockton, TX to Las Cruces, NM encompassed 299 miles of I-10 with about 40 miles of it going around El Paso and then connecting again with I-10. That loop we took on the east side of El Paso was about the same distance as going through El Paso on I-10 but much less traffic - definitely a preferred way to get through El Paso. The trip took almost exactly five hours and most of a pot of coffee! Doris is starting to use my camera and is getting the hang of it and we have a few more pictures this trip. We also had nothing but bright skies today which also made it easier to take pictures.

We are staying at the Las Cruces KOA with a full hookup pull-through long enough to leave Libby attached. We have excellent WiFi, great Verizon and a clean shot to the satellite. The jacks had to raise the front of the Mothership up quite a bit so I am going to take advantage of the high front end and oil our step pivot points which should be done every three months and we haven't done them yet this trip.

Tomorrow we head for Fort Huachuca just outside Sierra Vista, AZ for a three night stay before heading on into Phoenix.
