Visited Coos Bay to explore, we found a farmer's market. We found out that Coos Bay is the largest port for wood products. On the way back we visited the Umpqua River Lighthouse (this is the sister lighthouse to the Heceta Lighthouse north of Florende), It was the first lighthouse in the Oregon Territory and was built in 1857. Winchester a small town on the Umpqua river with a very large marina (full during the summer and fall, We stopped in the Historic town of Gardiner (lumber related). Gardiner established in 1850 when the Schooner Bostonian was sent to the Pacific Coast in the interest of establishing trade. It sunk on the Umpqua River bar and the town was founded using the cargo and named after the Schooner's owner. We saw a wonderful flower garden in Dune City
