September 2, 2012 – Oklahoma City to Stillwater, Oklahoma
Today, I left OKC about 10, filled up with gas and arrived in Stillwater at noon. I thought I’d be late enough that the football crowd would have checked out, but I was mistaken. Folks were just beginning to stir. So, I parked on the grass and waited for a space to open up. I waited and waited and waited. Finally a little after 2, I walked up to office. They thought that I was already parked because the guy who was parked in the space where I was going had volunteered to tell me that I should move into that spot. He, of course, hadn’t done that. So, I finally got parked, car unhooked, etc. a little after 2. It was miserably hot – over 100 degrees – so I needed a shower and a nap before I met Guyla and Donald for supper. They suggested Boom-a-rang’s which turned out to be closed on Sunday so we wound up at IHOP. It was good to visit with them and get caught up on the news.
I had an early night – went to bed at 8:30. Tomorrow is Labor Day so I can sleep late if I want o.
