We got an early start and had a good travel day today. The weather was sunny but cold. Our route took us through Albuquerque and then east through Amarillo on I40 that replaced or parallels old Route 66. Each of the states have marked the original route with "Historic Route 66" signs. I wish I had more time to follow the route, but pulling off I40 and riding through some of the towns along the way will have to suffice for this trip. There were alot of photo ops, so I won't write too much as I have alot of pictures to sort through.
