On Monday the 23rd, we pulled out of Amanda's driveway and headed out to the Texan RV Ranch in Mansfield. We had never been to this RV place, but the price was right, so we decided to give it a try. It's fairly barren as far as scenery. We love to walk and tried walking around the park, but the roads are hard gravel with nothing much to look at, so after a short while, the walk became drudgery. Then we discovered Mansfield's linear park and started driving there to walk. The park is really a series of parks all connected with a wide concrete walkway. It's wound all around Walnut Creek. We are really enjoying walking there in spite of the fact that we have to drive to it. After about a week or so, we decided that we wouldn't spend our 2nd month here and made a reservation in Treetops RV in South Arlington. It's a little closer to Amanda's and to the Gaylord (since we're doing the Christmas show) and a whole lot prettier.

On Halloween Eve, we went over to Amanda's and the kids dressed up in their costumes and went to the Fall Festival at Seguin High. All of the clubs get together and run booths and give out candy to the little kids. They've been doing this for several years and it's a really nice event. Jean-Luc dressed as Harry Potter

. Madeleine found a booth where she could paint a cookie and eat it too. Jean-Luc was concerned because some of the students were dressed in really scary make-up. He opted for a wheel of fortune type booth and one where you simply drop a circle token The halls were really crowded with students and Grandpa helped Jean-Luc to navigate. Of course any festival has to have a fishing booth and Mommy helped Jean-Luc with his rod. Both Madeleine and Jean-Luc liked the booth where they had to dig through the hay to find the candy.. Jean-Luc was probably the most photographed child at the festival as all of Amanda's students were stopping him to take his picture.. As we left the school, he was even able to play the last game by the door even though he didn't have any more tickets, just because he was so cute.. As we walked out the door, he said "No more masks."
