This morning I was up early so I'd have time to unhook from the utilities and still get to church on time. I couldn't find the church I was looking for. I think they have either changed names or moved to a different location. I happened upon the First Baptist Church and even found a place on the street big enough for my motorhome. I was a few minutes late but hadn't missed much. The pastor preached the first part of a series on Thanks-living. It was good teaching.
From there I headed to Goliad State Park, where we will camp for the next two nights. It is a very pretty park in a bend of the San Antonio River about a mile south of the historic town of Goliad. It includes several camping areas, nature trails and the Mission Espiritu Santo. Near the park are the Presidio La Bahia, birthplace of General Ignacio Zaragoza and the Fannin Memorial.
