|We went back to John Pennekamp State Park today. We moved over to Cannon Beach which was alot better than the last two beaches. They have in the water artifacts from a 1715 Spanish shipwreck. There were around 14 cannons and a large anchor. Saw alot of different fish and alot more of them plus some 3-4 feet Tarpon( I think). Where you snorkel there is a large area with a deep hole which you cannot see into. The tarpon were swimming around the edge of that. These were some big fish to be swimming around you and they were checking me out. I just knew a big shark would come out of that hole and have a snack. I did finally get enough nerve to cross that black space on the bottom. Floating on a noodle of course.
Some of the fish were Grunts,Damsel,Angel also a couple more Iguana's. One of them tried to eat the noodle. Plus while I was in the water Linda said a family was having lunch and a raccoon came out to eat. She said they threw rocks at it to scare it off.
Just another great day in the salt water and if this is a dream DON'T WAKE ME UP
