|Fri, 01 Jul: Can you believe it's already July???
We slept in this morning following a good nite's sleep. We stayed in bed because, well, because we could.
Once fed, watered (well, tea...), and ready to roll Bob pulled the coach out of the parking area onto the paved lot where we connected the car and went thru our brakes and lights tests. He pulled onto US 2 west about 1015.
We followed US 2 toward Escanaba where we picked up US 41 which continued south. We stopped for lunch in a VFW parking lot in Menominee and then continued south into Wisconsit at Marinette. Enroute we entered the Central Time Zone and gained an hour.
Following US 41 south into Green Bay and then along the west shore of Lake Winnebago to Oshkosh where we picked up WI 21 west. About forty miles west we crossed I 39 and found a BP truck stop with decent diesel prices where we topped up Carpe's tank. They had a huge parking lot so we opted to spend the nite there.
Today's drive was 276 miles with an overall fuel economy of 8½ mpg.
