|Wow, it was a long day today. It was close to 11:30am before we pulled out this morning. The weather was beautiful all the way, the traffic not so great once we hit the Denver area. We wanted to stop at Costco as they carry a few things we use regularly that we can't seem to find anywhere else, & we know they do not have Costco in South Dakota & we plan to be there quite awhile. Sorry about the whining!
Anyway, we found the store, picked up our items & called the campground to let them know we were running later than we originally planned. After searching all of the available spots in Estes Park, we discovered that 3 did not accept any rig longer than 32 feet, several are stacked in like sardines, some are full etc. So, we called ahead & booked at the Riverview RV Park in Loveland for 4 nights. It is about 25 minutes from Estes Park & not far from the Rockies. It turned out to be very nice, I think we are going to like it here. Our satellite gave us fits though, trees again, forward, backward, forward again. One hour later it finally locked on! Larry was exhausted & still had to set up. But, we are now settled in, just enjoyed a BBQ'd steak dinner & are kicked back for a little TV. Bed will be early tonight, as we plan to head into the Rocky Mountains first thing in the morning. Am looking forward to that!
We flew through Denver, but I did take a few pictures out the window. So, if you have never seen Denver (I hadn't) you might be interested. If not, you won't hurt my feelings if you don't look! I really wouldn't mind going back for a day but I don't think that fits in the schedule right now. Oh well, maybe another time...
