Anglo-French Travel 2017 travel blog

Finally arrived in Guernsey after leaving our hotel at 2 to catch the four o'clock ferry - the first one since the high winds stopped all ferry movement. Now at the Duke of George Hotel with a fourth floor room overlooking the town.

We are having a group dinner this evening and have an early start tomorrow for a day on Sark, weather permitting. Sark has no cars and apparently a small island with a different system of government. From what We saw as we were driven up from the harbour Guernsey would seem to have a significant financial district. Will have to wait until Friday when we'll learn more in a condensed day trip.

No photos today as I used the morning for a later checkout and some relaxation before the hotel light lunch.

The ferry trip was OK as they used a large car ferry which was going on to England and the swell was not too bad although noticeable! No sick bags needed.
