Nehalem Bay State Park
After picking up the trailer at the repair shop we were shortly on our way to Nehalem Bay. We took a little bit longer route as we followed the Columbia River to Astoria then headed south to the campground. Although we did not stop in Astoria it was nice to see the town as we passed through. Debi was fixated on the Astoria bridge having a fear of long and tall bridges. I assured her we were going to cross a much smaller bridge crossing the bay. It was just getting dark as we pulled in to the campground and was able to get in the spot before total darkness. Soon we were set up and making something to snack on.
Wednesday it was a road trip south to Tillamook where the Tillamook cheese factory is located. We toured the factory and sampled the cheese. We bypassed the ice cream as we had some, we got at the store, a few nights earlier. On the way back to the camp ground we stopped Garibaldi. We went down to the marina to have lunch and as Debi and her sister went to the antique shopping her husband and I went down to look at the fishing boats on the pier. As the fishing boats were coming in the unloaded not only fish but the crab traps. Then we headed back to the camp.
Thursday we headed north Cannon Beach and walked through the beach town walking through the shops. We then went out to the sand to see Haystack Rock. After a few pictures it was back to camp for a wonderful fish dinner. I have posted more pictures on the web.
