Monica and Nick's World Adventure travel blog

We found a Pousada and dumped our stuff. We took a walk around the town, and did some planning for the next stages of our travels. In the evening we were too tired to go out and get some food so we stayed in our room and slept for 12hrs.

We spent the day at Arraial d´Ajuda which is a ferry ride away from Porto Seguro. We got off the bus at the wrong place and ended up in a water park. Spent the morning there and went on some of the slides and rides. It is not worth the money !! We then headed into the town and took a walk down to the beach. It is a nicer town than Porto Seguro and if we had known we would have stayed there instead. After a bit of time on the beach we headed back via the ferry to Porto Seguro. In the evening we went out for some Pasta at PastAmore. They make their own pasta and Monica had a lovely spaghetti Carbonara. We also tried the local drink called ´Capeta´ which neither of us warmed to !

Our last day in Porto Seguro was spent walking along the beaches to the north. We sat outside a beach club and watched life on the beach. We sipped a caiprihna and caiprivodka (both very strong !) until it was time to go. After walking to the bus station we boarded the bus to Salvador.

Accomodation:

Pousada Francis - ok, it has a/c and is only R$40 per night.
