|We rolled into Niagara Hartland RV Park, 2383 Hartland Road, Gasport, NY set up and rested for awhile with a cold drink. What a wonderful time we have had! We did need another couple of days though just to catch our breath before the long journey home.
I phoned my sister Tammy to see if she could come out. She said that she'd see us at midnight as she was working the three to eleven shift. Wow! Dave had spoken to Greg to see if he and his family could stop by. Greg is a very close friend that Dave had worked with and we hadn't seen him in over five years since his wedding. He said he would come but LuAnn, Alayna and Dom were competing in state competition in Florida for vocals and photography. Congratulations on making it kids! Bev and Hugh very good friends from Ontario came down to meet up with us.They rented a camper in the park. We met them last year at SeaWindRv Park in Riviera. How wonderful it was going to be to see them all again! We also spoke with Debbie and Dave whom we have been friends with for many years. Dave and Debbie had to take a rain check...:(! They are planning though, on coming down this winter to see us. We sure hope so and holding them to it! Greg brought pizza and beer...thank you! We also had burgers, potato salad and chips. We ate dinner, started the campfire, had a few drinks and caught up on what's been happening and old times. Greg had stories of he and Dave and we laughed so hard! What was that Bev about Hugh and Dave? Oh, I forgot...what goes on in Gasport, stays in Gasport!
The fire dwindled and the air got chilly. Greg said he had to go but he would be back tomorrow with steaks and firewood! Bev and Hugh hung around to meet my sister. In haste I had given my sister the wrong address or she would have been there at the stoke of midnight as she had said. I was thinking that there was only one Niagara Campground when I looked it up in the passport book but there were two and of course I gave her the wrong one! This could have been such a disaster. Luckily it wasn't and I thank The Lord that it wasn't. She arrived only ten minutes later. It was so great to see her! We talked for awhile and she went home and we hit the hay.
What a day it was!
