Birdy!

Ta Daaaa!

Sunset over the 'Olgas'.

Red sand everywhere!

Kings Canyon!

My 'Swag'.

Arrived in Alice Springs on the 1st, got off the plane and OH MY GOD it was hot - 41 degrees to be precise!! UH! My calves practically burnt walking from the plane to the terminal building! Got to the hostel, had a weird moment in a bar called 'Bojangles Saloon Bar' where they have three webcams! Rang a couple of people back home and had a wave - felt weird cos everyone just looks at you in the bar as if to say 'Bloody Tourist!!'

Anyway, got up next morning at HALF 4 AM to get the tour bus and sign in etc. (Yes Dad, I was actually up at half four!) First major stop was Kings canyon for a walk up to the top and some photies and then down to Base camp for dins. We all set up 'Swags' (Heavy duty sleeping bags with mattresses inside) for a half nights sleep under the stars, wickid. Got up at 4:15 for the base walk at sunrise and watched the sun edge up over 'the rock' (Uluru or Ayres rock) causing it to glow vivid orangy red. Took MILLIONS of photo's of the same thing in true williams style!

Then went for a walk round the 'Olgas' (Similar to ayres rock but different in a few ways).

Now sat in a bar watching a reptile show!

Speak soon,

Paul.
