After staying home for 2 days we were ready for another break in the weather. And as luck would have it, we had another opportunity to connect with friends, John and Sue. They were on their way home from a trip to the coast, so we planned to meed at the Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. It was SO good to see them again. They are friends from our Big Bend days. And this why we love our life; we get to make and see so many friends as we travel across our beautiful country.
Afterwards we went to Walmart to stock up on a few items before heading home again. I had no more gotten them stashed and settled in to read when I heard Don hollering from the office/garage/ extra bedroom. Oh No! he said. What I say?! Ladybugs!!! We still have less than pleasant memories of the massive ladybug infestation we had a few years ago, so we were not happy. He swatted the 4 in back, then I saw more outside. I think Don used most of a can of flying insect killer all over the outside of the trailer. We gritted our teeth and prepared for an invasion. Which never came: hooray!!
That night at the campfire we met another couple, Glen and Nancy from Virginia, making 6 of us for 5 o'clock somewhere. Our hosts were glad to see that we had company. I think they were beginning to feel a bit sorry for us that we were there by ourselves for the first couple of nights.
