|Arrived at Lexington nice and early. Thanks to my cousin, Shiela, who recommended staying at Kentucky Horse Park, we found a beautiful place to camp!
On Wed., we all went to the horse park and got to go to the International horse museum, went on a half-hour trail ride, saw a show of former champion racing horses (they were beautiful!) and a "parade of breeds" where we learned and saw different breeds of horses. Very interesting! Thomas now wants a horse when we get back to Alaska. We'll see, I told him...
We were able to visit my cousin Shiela and her husband, Chris, and kids, Logan, Graham, and Megan. We had a wonderful dinner at their home in Lexington.
The next day, Thursday, cousin Shiela and Megan invited us to Evans Orchard, which is a great pumpkin patch/playground/corn maze farm outside of Lexington. Thankfully, Shiela brought her camera and got some great pics of the kids having a really good time here in the pumpkin patch. What a great way to spend a fall day!
