We left EARLY in the morning for the VA at Great Lakes. Jeff got his hearing aids and they work wonderfully! We got back to Buffalo Park, hitched up and took off. We had planned to stay overnight at a place close to Lincoln, IL (where the corn wolves were - if you've read our previous blogs), but we felt like we wanted to push on further, so drove into Springfield and stayed at the Double J campground. We had stayed there last year while touring Springfield, and wanted to go back to the Lincoln museum, but will have to put it off till the next time. We have to get into the DFW area by the 20th so we can see Robert's band march their UIL contest show in a competition. So, we didn't even unhitch - had a relaxing evening and headed for another Springfield.
