Having fun waiting for the sun to set

On top of the hill

View from the top of the hill

In between playing with the kids today, I needed to fix the front leveling jack on Winnie so we can leave on Tuesday. I had a helper in Annie's Dad. Fortunately there is a complete tool shop here at the farm so I was able to borrow a 5 ton hydraulic jack to jack up the front of Winnie. Along with the 2 ton jack I carry around with us I was able to get front end of Winnie lifted high enough to scramble underneath on my and push the leveling jack back into its cylinder. After securing the retractor springs with tie-wraps I was able to begin lowering the jacks. The only problem was I couldn't quite reach the jack to lower it because Winnie's from bumper was too low for my belly (Fat Man) to get by. I needed help from Pat (Skinny Man) to lower the jack and pull it out from under Winnie. Just another day in the life of RV'ing.

After a long day of playing in the pond and the dinosaur water park, we drove up to the top of the hill overlooking Big Spring Farm to watch the sunset. It was beautiful.
