Front entrance-Woolaroc Museum

Winning Pioneer Woman Statue

After a good night's rest we planned our day and our visit to Bartlesville. It had been a long time since we were here last, so at the top of the list was a visit to Woolaroc Museum. This is on the Frank Phillips ranch, the founder of Phillips Petroleum company. I have good memories of going there as a child, to visit the museum and for picnics at the ranch. We always took company there when they came to visit. They have a good collection of Indian artifacts, guns, sculptures and original paintings. I never really appreciated the artifacts and guns as a child, but really loved the park, the paintings and sculptures. And after being away for 35 years it was really wonderful to see my favorites still on exhibit. Don of course liked the artifacts and guns the best. The grounds are as beautiful as we both remembered. We enjoyed both the drive and walking on the grounds.

After a good visit we were back at the RV park for 5 o'clock somewhere and a good dinner.
