Welcome to Lake Havasu City

That's the Colorado River with California beyond

Wed, 09 Jan: Back on the road again... We enjoyed a very lazy morning and didn't get Carpe moved off of her site until "ten-nish". By the time we got Dinkum connected and said our farewells to Ray & Cathie it was almost eleven.

We crossed the Colorado into Bullhead City and lost an hour as we moved back into Mountain time. Driving on AZ 95 in Bullhead City is always an "adventure". Today it was even more so. Our first stop was at Jeff's Propane where we topped up our LP tank. As we pulled out of the driveway some punk in a dirt bike came screaming around the corner closely followed by two of Bullhead City's finest.

Further down the road we stopped at a Fast Trip station where we added $200 worth of diesel. We didn't fill the tank but the pump didn't want to grant us credit for more diesel so we called it quits as we had more than enough.

Then continuing south on 95 to Needles where we picked up I 40 east back into Arizona (Needles is in California). A dozen or so miles to the 95 exit where we continued south to Lake Havasu City. A quick phone call to Tina at 3Ts RV advised us that they had room for us so we drove on in, arriving about 1430. Today's mileage was 71.

Once settled in at 3Ts we loaded our laundry in Dinkum and got that chore behind us with relatively little hassle. Then to WalMart for produce and dairy products. Back to the coach to unload and then to the Black Bear Diner for dinner. As always, dinner was excellent and we brought back enough for another meal.

Since we had to have Carpe ready for service at 0730 we set our alarm and hit the hay early. A good day...
