RV ready for departure to Myrtle Beach

Gerry & Marion ready to hit the road for Myrtle Beach

Chris & Joanne (my two sisters) arriving at the Lakewood Camping Resort...

Marion and Robert (Joanne's hubby) having a few beers in the RV

Well, we sure have been busy little bees!

We arrived here at the Lakewood Camping Resort in Myrtle Beach SC around 2:00 pm on Sunday, and we are in site 2206, six sites from the beach and near the indoor pool.

We also ended up right next to our rally friends, Chris and Patty from MA...they are in site 2207 and their friends Gary Kleiner and his wife are next to them in 2208...of course they both are loaded with friends and kids.

They are using my internet access as well...a nice benefit of my Autonet Mobile wirless network, I can let others around me in a 100 foot radius connect if I give them the password...just have to monitor their usage...I have a 1GB monthly data transfer limit!

We had a nice Sunday afternoon with my sisters Joanne & Chris, Joanne's youngest daughter Gina and her husband Robert coming by and staying around the RV till around 8 pm, when we went out to dinner at Outback.

Today, we went over to the Hampton Inn where Joanne, Chris and GinaP were checking out, we said our goodbyes and we will be going to Mt. Pleasant all day tomorrow to visit them.

We (Marion and I) proceeded to check out the Myrtle Beach sites, ultimately ending up at Costco where I had business purchases to make for my delivery next Monday. From there we drove up to the Barefoot Landing area in North Myrtle Beach, the campground we stayed at years ago (during a tropical storm) is long gone.

We then drove down to the Myrtle Beach Mall where we lunched at the Islamerada Fish House (I think was it's name), and then into the adjoining Bass Pro Shop Megastore where we browsed and I got some hiking shoes for our September Grand Canyon trip.

Drove back to the campground where I had a great barefoot power walk the beach for 30 minutes, then went into the ocean...a cool low sixty degrees...perfect for the "polar bear" in me.

I have been getting my 60 minutes/4 miles of walking in each day so far on this trip, the calorie counts have been a little higher than I would like though...for those of you who don't know I've been using the free website SparkPeople.com to drop some pounds...I'm down to 207 lbs. so far.

Tonight, a light salad dinner for both of us, another 30 minute walk, and now I'm finally updating here.

I will post a few photos...here goes...don't be afraid to post some comments!
