We arrived here (Centralia, WA) on Tuesday, March 31st. Spent Wednesday and Thursday taking drives to check out two of the Washington State Park Campgrounds that we are scheduled to host at in the future. Both are nice, however we already know that we will have no satellite TV or Internet service at Ike Kinswa S.P. where we will be residing in December 2009 and January 2010. Besides rain....which, of course, is a constant around here....the ranger informed us that we can expect some light snow showers and freezing temperatures at that time of the year. So we will be bundled up watching movies (fortunately we have 600+ DVDs with us) or playing cards for a couple of months.
Since we are fanatics when it comes to watching the Olympic Games, we were happy to discover that we will have good satellite reception at Belfair S.P. (along the Hood Canal) in February and March 2010.
Today we toured the Washington State Capitol in Olympia and we actually had some periods of blue skies and sunshine.
We've taken a few photos since we arrived here, but none downloaded yet so I will include them next time.
Our next stop will be somewhere near Seattle.
Bye for now.
