We're up early and away. The fall colors are in their full glory, and we wish for a break in the clouds so we can enjoy them in the sunshine. Since we managed to get the extra miles under us (under our keel we used to say) and since it was cloudy, windy and too chilly to enjoy the ambience of an outdoor café, we decided to forgo the detour into Quebec City and push on to reach Mike's stepbrother's house near Magog, Quebec a day earlier than we originally planned. Wally and Patsy didn't seem to mind, and the motorhome settled easily in Wally's yard. After supper, although it was still cool the wind had died, and we went swimming in Patsy and Wally's heated pool. They had put off winterizing it partly because we were coming and partly because they had had some nice days. What fun! It was the first swim I had had all summer!
