Our day started with clouds, but cleared up enough for us to want to do a little exploring in town. With several choices, we stopped at the military museum. And a great choice it was. We were met at the door by 2 old gentlemen, both veterans, who had assisted with the accumulation and display of thousands of pictures and items. The memorabilia was arranged in a timeline starting with the revolutionary war and forward to the most current of our military conflicts. They had stories and explanations for most everything there. A very small building, we spent a good 2 hours and felt like we only scratched the surface. A return trip may be in our future.
We made it home in time for our campfire, and were joined by a Canadian couple, Laurie and Doug, who had moved in next to us while we were away.
