Mountain behind the campground

We dilly dallied around this morning and finally managed to leave the campground at 12:30 PM. Lee was soaking wet by the time we left because, of course, it had to rain before he managed to get everything done.

We drove through lots of really black clouds and sometimes we had light behind us and dark in front of us and we could see rain pouring down in the distance but we stayed out of it except for about a half an hour. We arrived in Arco to bright sunshine!

We parked at Mountain View Campgound in Arco, Idaho. The campground is really very nice for being out in the middle of nowhere. The sites are large and everything is clean and it's very quiet! What more could we ask for a couple days stay.

Tomorrow we are going to tour Craters of the Moon National Monument which is about 20 miles from here.
